The four ladies of WARPAINT last appeared earlier this year when they whipped up a frenzy at the Laneway travelling festival, and their sold out, intimate shows.

Many missed out on seeing the hyped and regarded band, who appear to have sprung from nowhere to international accolades from all the right people and social media outlets. Now it is time to step it up, and welcome all to the scene that is WARPAINT live.

Playing as part of the massive Splendour In The Grass line up, the band will also hit Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney with special guest JACK LADDER for their own headline shows.

WARPAINT are from LA. The core of the band has actually been together since 2004 slowly getting their sound and songs together. Releasing the “EXQUISITE CORPSE EP” in 2008, the band soon had their hometown gushing over their favourite girl band. Things kept rolling strong and in 2009 when drummer, the Australian Stella Mozgawa, joined the band they soon were signed by Rough Trade, were the hot pick of SXSW 2010 and later that year, their debut album “THE FOOL” was released to critical acclaim. With subsequent love from NME and Radio 1 in the UK, and appearances at Lollapalozza and Coachella in the USA, the band has continued to tour the globe in support of the album. Once they depart Australia they will head to Japan for their first visit for a slot of Fuji Rock.

WARPAINT will be touring this July playing as part of the massive Splendour In The Grass and On The Bright Side line ups, and will also hit Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney with special guest JACK LADDER for their own headline shows.
